The game changer scheme “national health protection scheme” is launched on 1st February 2018 by finance minister Arun Jaitely. This scheme is the world’s largest government funded health care scheme. Under national health protection scheme India about 10 crore poor families will be covered. As a result 50 crore people will get the benefit of this new national health protection scheme. Central government will provide Rs. 5 Lakh to each family for hospitalization every year.

Furthermore in the last budget of year 2017 Government spends less amount of money. Which was Rs.39879 crore on health care sector. Later on for this year 2018 budget pradhanmantrimodi government announces Rs.48878 crore for public health care sector.

In addition with the launch of this scheme above 12 medical colleges will be opened by government. Furthermore the existing district medical colleges will be upgraded by the government. For this reason government will allocate Rs.1200crore to Ayushman Bharat initiative programme.

There are many patient of tuberculosis in India. Many patients are unable to pay for their food requirements. As a result finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitely allocated Rs. 600crore for the nutrition needs of tuberculosis patients.
